Early Life
Born on June 5, 1960, Cho Cho David was the second eldest daughter of the five sons and daughters of Mr. Mann David and Mrs. Daw Ah Sawt. She received her primary education at the government’s No. 2 basic secondary school in Yankin, Yangon, and attended the middle school and high school at Ain Mel City in Ayeywarwaddy region. In 1974, she was baptized into the Seventh-day Adventist Church by Pr. U Soe Maung and later attended the DHLC course in Myaungmya Adventist Seminary. She received her Ministerial Training Course certificate in 1980, and served as the Women’s Hostel dean from 1980 to 1983 in Ayeyarwady Adventist Seminary.
She was married to Pr. Timothy Paul on March 20, 1983, and had three children. After marriage, she served together with her husband in different places such as Yay Lel Gyi, Taung Paw Su, and Pyin Gatoe Taung in the Myaungmya region, Ayeyarwaddy Division. After Pr. Timothy Paul received his Bachelor’s Degree from Myanmar Union Adventist Seminary, Daw Cho Cho David served together with her husband at Yangon Adventist Seminary as a Kindergarten Teacher for one year. She followed her husband to Spicer Memorial College, Pune, India to attend for the Master’s degree for three years and returned to Myanmar in 1999. She served as a pastor’s wife in Pel New Gon after returning from India. She later transferred with her husband to Central Myanmar Adventist Seminary and served as a teacher for two years. She and her husband later moved to Myanmar Union Adventist Seminary and taught as a teacher at the Preschool.
Throughout her ministry with her husband, they later transferred to Ayeyarwady Adventist Mission Headquarters in Pathein, and from Pathein to Central Myanmar Adventist Mission Headquarters in Taungoo. During that time, she served as a medical missionary for two years and also served as the Women’s Ministry Director. She also served as the director for family ministries, children ministries, and shepherdess ministries in Upper Myanmar Adventist Mission Headquarters in Pyin Oo Lwin. In 2015, she moved to Myanmar Union Mission Adventist Headquarters in Yangon and served together with her husband as an acting health ministries director for six months. From the beginning of the year of 2016, she is currently serving as the director for Family and Children ministries director together with her family.
