Khin Maung Latt

Early life

Khin Maung Latt was born on October 15, 1962 in Adventist Hospital, Dagon Township, Yangon, Myanmar. His parents were Pr. Ba Khin and Daw Yee Yee Shwe. They having 5 children. The sibling’s name was Khin Maung Oo, Khin Maung Latt, Khin Maung Lwin, Marla and Khin Maung Thu. Among the siblings, Khin Maung Oo was a teacher in YAS, Khin Maung Lwin was Song Engineer in Home Studio. Marla was Director of Adventist Hospital Medical Record center in Hong Kong. Khin Maung Thu CEO in Honest Trade Co.,Ltd. Khin Maung Latt was converted Seventh Day Adventist in 1974.

Education and Marriage

Khin Maung Latt attended No.1 High School in Wontho from kindergarden through grade 3 (1968-1972). And then he attended No.2 Middle School in Kathar from grade 4 through grade 5 (1972-1974). And then he attended No.3 Middle School Dagon Township, Yangon from grade 6 through 8 (1974-1977). He was spiritually strong and wished to serve God, he wanted to go to Myanug Mya Bible Seminary from pre 1 through MTC (Ministerial Training Course) 1977-1982. And then again, he attended MUAS from 2004 summer through 2005 (BA, Religion). He was married to Ni Ni Shin, On January 26, 1992. They were blessed with three children. The elder daughter, whose name was Cho Nwe Latt, was born in October 26, 1992. The second son, whose name was Khaing Min Latt, was born in Auguest 15, 1994. The youngest daughter whose name was Phyu Phar Shin, was born in February 1, 2001.

Ministry

In June, 1982 he entered ministry as Est.Keepen in Yangon Central Church and in January, 1983, he was appointed as an evangelist in Ahlone Church, YAD from 1983 to 1990. In 1991 he transferred to evangelist in Yangon Central Church from 1991 to 1992 and then in 1993 he was transferred to evangelist in Hmaw Bi Chruch from 1993 to April 30, 1994. In April 1, 1998 he was reemployment of evangelist in North Dagon Church from April 1, 1998 to 2002. He was ordained to the gospel ministry on April, 2002. In 2003, Myanmar Union Mission committee choose him to AWR Myanmar speaker from 2003 to 2005. In 2006 he was appointed as SS/PM/ASI Director of MYUM, In 2011 he was elected as president of the Ayeyarwaddy Mission by the Myanmar Union Mission nominating committee and started serving in that position on January 1, 2011 to 2015. Then he was elected as ministerial secretary of MYUM from 2016 to 2020. While he was working he served and lead many evangelist meeting and cottage meeting and reaping many souls in Myanmar.

2000 while he was in north Dagon Church, he was trying to expend two newest north Dagon and East Dagon house church building for Seventh day Adventist. Withing his 35 years of serving he try to his best to serve in many Sabbath school seminar, IEL/NDR seminar training, church Pastor and Church Elder Deacon and Deaconess trainings and seminars, he was traveled and served the whole union, Evangelistic meetings and cottage meeting, he was always ready to served in five missions and he was reaping many souls in Myanmar by the grace of God.
